What is Cupping?

Cupping is a treatment method aimed at making fascia more flexible and relieving pain. There are various cupping techniques and tools available. With cupping you stimulate blood flow to specific areas in the body, which brings oxygen to the muscle tissue and makes it easier to stretch. The vacuum creates a suction force on the body, which draws blood to places that need recovery.

Cupping techniques

  • Plastic Cups : With a pump you create a vacuum in the cup, which is placed at the desired location on the body. The changed pressure in the cup affects the skin, muscles, fascia and trigger points underneath.
  • Silicone Cups : You create a vacuum by pressing the cup, similar to a suction cup. These cups glide well over the skin, making both transverse and longitudinal strokes possible. We use an oil for this.

These techniques loosen muscles and trigger points .
